Think Crocodyl is great but want to see it do a little more? Have a great idea for a widget, feature or new technology that would help our research on corporations? Visit our feature requests page and add your idea to the list. All ideas are valued very much, as this is an Open Source project and our goal is to serve our users.
All functionality in Drupal that can be added to the basic setup comes in the form of a "module." For Crocodyl we should think about what functionality we need to add, then search for an existing module that does what we need. If there isn't a module, we need to assess whether or not the function is crucial enough to custom develop one. Custom development of new features is a huge task--even for a large dot-com company. Developing a new module is a large commitment of time and money. If we decide to make the plunge, we can take heart that we are doing a public service. Because Drupal is Open Source and Free Software under the GNU Public License, all new modules that we create must be contributed back to the Drupal project. This is the reciprocity for getting a free content management system, and only costs the speculative value of being able to "sell" the module by restricting access to it, then charging money for it. But, before we go down that road, let us use what has already been created, as Drupal has many quality modules to choose from.
Who uses Drupal?
First, take a look at the main Drupal modules page. If the new feature you are imagining isn't there, try hunting through the below list of sites that run on Drupal. Send a URL of the page and a description of the functionality that you think would be good for to:

Here is a list of links to other Drupal sites, most functions that these sites contain can be added on to our site.
